Poster Award, Virology Section From the many excellent posters covering
virological aspects of carcinogenesis, the contribution
by James C. Neil and his colleagues was selected for this award
by the poster awards selection committee. In their contribution,

Neil and coworkers describe the transduction of a T-cell antigen
receptor ß-chain gene by feline leukemia virus (FeLV).
Although it is not yet known whether retroviruses carrying such
a receptor gene in their genomes have any oncogenic properties,

these viruses may be useful tools in studying both FeLV-induced
leukemia and T-cell antigen receptor function.
